Sweet dish: wheat flour, sugar, raisins, milk, butter.

Very short making time. Tasted great!

Moony

Today's meal:

Unnamed dish with bread, brown beans, spring onions and cheese. Tasted almost like pizza with a bit of pepper on it.

The moon is such a sight today. Life would have been so much duller without it. Something to look forward to every month. Or in today's case, every 18 years.

Titling these is tough

Today's meal:

Capsicum, onion and garlic, garam masala with rice.
There are a few things that can't be improved by ketchup. This was not one of those dishes.

Spring!

Today's meal:

Carrot sambhar : carrots, spring onions, toor dal, chili powder, salt, turmeric powder. And rice.

Spring onions are my new favourite ingredient. Spring is here!

Creamy Chow

Today's meal:

Carrot, cucumber, avocado and spring onion salad, cheese sandwich.
Avocado shakes are not the best way thing to make out of them. They taste so creamy, it is a shame to hide that taste behind sugar.

Comfort Food

Today's meal:

Carrot puli kozhambu with rice. Carrots with onions, garlic, tamarind paste and chili powder.
Tangy, pungent and juicy. Very simple to make, yet comforting.

Slow food

Today's meal:

Red rice and tomato curry.
The texture of red rice is great, adding to taste. But the problem with it is however, was that it takes too much time to cook. It took around 15 whistles in the cooker!

Gezonde keuze

Today's meal:

A salad sandwich. Carrots, spring onions, sun-dried tomatoes and pickled chilies, half cooked on a pan with a little oil and salt with chopped onions and cucumber. Bread toasted slightly with butter.
It was fun eating it because the sandwich filling kept falling out.
Preserved foods are a blessing sometimes.

Fat Tuesday!

Today's special meal:

Toasted bread with chili sauce, a stuffed pepper and chopped onions. As you can see it is a really large one, very mildly pungent. The stuffing was made of maize, spring onions and grated cheese.
Life becomes dull without such days when you create something exciting. There were several ways in which my innovation could have spoiled an entire meal and wasted a lot of good stuff. But I braved through it because a meal lost is okay, but a life of boring meals is utterly worthless.

The many names and kinds

Today's meal:

"Chapati" with aubergine curry. The quotes are because these are in fact sold as ready made tortilla wraps.
Lunch, dinner, food, meals, tiffen, snacks, stuff, chow, grub... same thing so many names.
